Mr. Cloyd has served as President of ECC Capital Corporation since April 2019.
Kevin has more than 30 years of executive experience in all aspects of mortgage banking and real estate services.
Prior to joining ECC Capital, Kevin held several senior executive positions within the Carrington Mortgage Holdings Company and its subsidiaries from 2010 to 2018. Carrington provides a broad range of mortgage and real estate services encompassing nearly all aspects of single-family residential real estate transactions. Positions held while at Carrington include Chief Administrative Officer of Carrington Mortgage Holdings, President of Carrington Real Estate Group a group that included real estate title, real estate brokerage, REO asset management, property management, property preservation, and construction.
From 2008 to 2010 Kevin was a partner at Ameripath / Prospect Mortgage where he focused on strategic business development initiatives with money center banks, hedge funds and other distressed mortgage investors for the retail based mortgage originator.
From 2001 to 2007 Kevin served as Executive Vice President with New Century Financial, a Mortgage Lender and Servicer. Kevin was responsible for the Capital Markets division where he led the securitization and whole loan sale efforts optimizing the exit strategy of the Company, that originated approximately $56 billion per year at the peak. He also managed the financing relationships providing the necessary funding for the firm and lead the product development team, fixed income investor relations efforts and the oversight and leadership of the mortgage servicing platform.
